What is the
Global Week of Prayer?
We envision every nation on earth hosting a physical prayer room, with non-stop prayer happening night and day.
Following our first Global Week of Prayer in 2025, we are joining together again, and our theme for 2026, At the Name of Jesus, is rooted in scripture:
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11 NIV
As we pray together, we want to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord over all of the earth. We’re seeking to encounter this beauty and power, and carry Jesus into our towns, cities and nations.
The What: The global week of Prayer is an annual, week-long day and night event, from September 6-13, 2026, it invites Christians across national borders and denominations to engage in non-stop, unbroken prayer in physical and virtual prayer rooms spanning every nation on earth.
The Purpose: to bring believers together in our city and region and throughout the world in a shared, humble "leaning" toward-Jesus. Seeking to exalt Him! While believing for an Awakening of the Church, revelation for the lost, and healing for the world.
The Invite: The Charlotte Prayer Room (2831 N. Sharon Amity, Charlotte, NC 28205) will be hosting in-person(Charlote Prayer Room)/at-home(virtual) slot hours during the Global week of prayer as well offering corporate events.
