“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.”
– Oswald Chambers
We are taking part of 24/7 Prayer's
Year of Unbroken Prayer
What is it?
Across the nation, prayer rooms, churches, small groups and individuals have signed up to carry a torch of prayer through our country for a solid year, one week at a time, one hour at a time.
The light never going out.
We have joined over 52 faith communities across the country to carry the torch for one week by

-
holding sign ups
-
opening our prayer rooms
-
setting the tone
-
providing rich resources to help you get the most out of your prayer time
We are teaming up with our extended family at York County Prayer for this special week in March of continuous prayer.
Why?
In recent history, our nation has been littered by destruction in every societal sphere--political division, ethnic division, church division; violence on our streets and our schools; climate, economic, and mental health crises; natural disasters and increasing poverty; human rights for the immigrant and the unborn.
If ever there was a time for the Church to lift our eyes and raise our voices as one, it is now. (Read more here.)
How Does This Work?

You will:
-
go to the sign up page (the instructions will tell you which site is open),
-
pick your day and hour(s),
-
receive a confirmation email with the details, including contacts for each location
-
show up and experience a unique time of prayer

We have 3 different prayer spaces sharing open hours during that week, around the clock:

-
The Rock Hill Prayer Site (Cottage Cove Prayer Room)
-
March 11th, 7 AM - March 14th, 11:59 PM
-

-
Tega Cay/Fort Mill Prayer Site (Lakeshore Christian Fellowship)
-
March 11th, 12 AM - 7 AM
-

-
The Charlotte Prayer Room,
-
March 15th, 12 AM - March 17th, 11:59 PM
-

(None of the sites are open all hours of the week so the time you choose will determine which site is available during that time.)

At the beginning and end of the week, we will host special "torch passing" times of sharing and prayer with the communities that sandwich our week via Zoom.

You are, of course, free to pray on your own but we have found over the years that unique God encounters happen in these special places that set them apart from our normal life.

"The time spent in the 24-7 Prayer House had a profound impact on me."

"During my prayer time, Holy Spirit brought to mind an old chorus I had long forgotten, "All over the world, the Spirit is moving.' God directed me to kneel in front of the world map and sing this song prophetically over the world, touching each continent as I prayed. I believe God is preparing to fulfill Habakkuk 2:14."

In part of a vision: "The Levitical priests were carrying the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord -- The priests, pastors, lay leaders and all of us standing in the gap for the peoples of Frederick, MD."

"At other times there were entire groups of peoples putting their hands over the world map and praying for each country."
