interdenominational movement
of prayer, mission and justice.
24-7 Prayer began in 1999, when a simple student-led prayer vigil went viral & groups all over the world joined in to pray. Prayer has continued nonstop since then & has birthed many mission & justice movements in its wake. Now countless communities have taken part in 24-7 Prayer in churches, communities and cities in over half the countries on earth.
24-7 Prayer is most known for catalyzing non-stop prayer, for creative prayer rooms spinning out stories of God-encounters, heart transformation & answered prayer, & for prayer resources that inspire vibrant prayer lives, intimacy & apprenticeship with Christ, lifestyles of mission, and championing the cause of the marginalized & poor.
24-Prayer in Charlotte is a local
expression of this global movement.
1. Charlotte Prayer Room is a fueling station for the city's spiritually hungry, & a resource for local churches.
2. 20+ years old, it's funded solely by donations from visitors & supporters.
3. Spaces in The Prayer Room can be reserved for Christ-centered groups & gatherings.
4. 300-1000 people visit this public prayer space monthly, depending on the season.
5. If you're bringing a group larger than 7, giving us advance notice is good.
6. The Prayer Room is watched over by an all-volunteer staff & leadership team.
7. Volunteers & teams are from a diversity of Christian affiliations.​
